2011-2012 high school diploma exams programs have just been approved by the Ministry of Education and Science. The Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini, the Director of National Curriculum and Assessment Center, Natia Jokhadze and the Director of National Examinations Center, Maia Miminoshvili held a meeting with subject matter experts and discussed this issue. The invited experts from the scientific sector also attended the meeting. They got familiarized with 2011-2012 high school diploma exams programs and evaluated them.
The Ministry was going to approve the 2011-2012 high school diploma exams programs in September, but these programs were prepared earlier, at the end of March, so the students have more time to get ready for the exams.
From now on, the National Curriculum and Assessment Center will create the exam tests according to 2011-2012 high school diploma exams programs. The minimal competency level will be defined after the approbation that will be held in May.
