“Find your Talent” – a slogan that opened the European Week of vocational skills, which is held for the first time in Georgia. Within the scope of the European week, a variety of activities and events are planned to be held, which ensures to display the best practices from the world in this field, as well as raising awareness in the general public.

The event is organized by the GIZ, with the active involvement of the representatives in the Tourism sector. Additionally a workshop was held, solely dedicated to the vocational skills and abilities needed for the tourism development in Georgia.

The rapprochement of the vocational education system with the demands of the local labor market and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, is one of the priorities of the Georgian government. The role of the employer in the vocational education is of paramount importance on every step, which is why the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, provides the involvement of employers into the development of the modular vocational programs.

The implementation of the dual education concept has already started for the 2016 fall admissions.
