The students of village Dioknisi in Marneuli region will continue their studies at the new school equipped with modern standards from new semester. Today, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aleksandre Jejelava, together with the representatives of local self-government, visited the school.
Village Dioknisi in Marneuli region is inhabited with the population arrived from the mountainous region of Adjara in the 90s, there was no school in the village and approximately 70 pupils had been studying in the domestic classrooms arranged in the private house for two decades. In 2013, with the joint financial support of the Ministry and the local self-government, a wooden cottage was built in the village where the educational process continued.
In 2016 construction of a new school, designated for 150 pupils, was completed. New school is equipped with all kind of ammenities, required for the school of European standard - modern heating system, library, information technology and natural science classes, doctor’s office, large, beautiful classrooms with school desks and blackboards, open playground, gym, the school is adapted for the pupils with special educational needs and is equipped with special ramps and lifts.
