In accordance with the “Rule of Conducting Competition for Selecting the Public School Director’’, approved by Decree N25/m issued by the Minister of Education and Science on February 24, 2011, the person wishing to present his/her candidate to the public school guardianship council, who holds the relevant certificate to prove that s/he has a right to apply for the position, has to complete an electronic approval form, undertake the interview and present a report on Strategic Vision for School Development. The interview and the presentation takes place at the commission created by an individual administrative legal act issued by the Minister. In future, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia will announce a competition for selecting the school directors in the schools where the director’s position is vacant. Respectively, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is deprived of an ability to make decision about appointing this or that person in the VET college, however, there can be some cooperation with a specific vocational education institution.
