Within the partnership program with San Diego State University Georgia and American Chamber of Commerce, presentation of the rehabilitated chemistry laboratories was held at Tbilisi State University.
The presentation was attended by Teimuraz Murgulia, deputy minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Ian C. Kelly, US Ambassador to Georgia, Magda Magradze, executive director of Millennium Challenge Account, Micheal Cowgill, president of AMCHAM, Giorgi Sharvashidze, rector of Tbilisi State University, Ken Walsh, dean of SDSU and the representatives of private and public sectors, members of AMCHAM.
New laboratories shall be taken as an example, how this type of studying environment is arranged at Sand Diego State University Georgia. As a result of practical work in the state-of-art laboratories, the students will have an opportunity to receive American education in Georgia.
SDSU, within the framework of Millennium Challenge Account- Higher Education component, carries out a high quality bachelor’s programs of international accreditation (ABET, ACS, WASC) in engineering and technological (STEM) spheres.
The graduates will receive American Diplomas. These programs facilitate development of natural and technological spheres in Georgia and developing of a highly qualified workforce. The project is carried out under the financial support of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) - Compact II.
