Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Education and Science Aleksandre Jejelava, Executive Director of Millennium Challenge Account - Magda Magradze and the staff of the Account visited the newly rehabilitated Public School of Okureshi. The Millennium Challenge Account has carried out complete rehabilitation within the Millennium Challenge Compact of the US Government. The Ministry of Education and Science will carry out rehabilitation works and the arrangement of the yard outside the school in the form of a co-funding of the Compact.
1490 square meters are fully rehabilitated in the public school of the village Okureshi, Tsageri Municipality. The full budget of rehabilitation is 335,299.48 USD. The construction works were carried out by company LTD MC Group (MCG). 44 pupils are currently studying in school, but after rehabilitation the school will be able to triple the number of pupils.
In August 2017, the school will be equipped with furniture and equipment. Natural sciences laboratories will also be arranged by funding of the Account. The school is ready to take pupils in September.
