The First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia -Ketevan Natriashvili met with delegation of Central Asian countries.

The aim of the meeting was to develop and introduce Dual Vocational Education Programs, and to share the achievements of Georgia in this regard.

Mikheil Chkhenkeli - Minister of Education and Science of Georgia and Mariam Jashi – a Chairman of Education, Science and Culture Committee of Georgian Parliament held a meeting with the Director of European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN) - Fabiola Gianotti.

Within the scope of the Innovative Training Week, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the University of Georgia and UG Startup Factory organized a seminar, where successful startup business owners, shared their experience to the university students on how to implement their own ideas and start a unique business.

Organized by the Georgian Farmers Association and supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the discussion of the project - "Work-Based Learning" was held, where the results and the presentation of innovations concerning the ongoing reform in the field of vocational education were presented.

Due to agreement reached between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, and the Embassy of Hungary to Georgia, the parties have organized a presentation of several alterations to the bilateral educational program, which enhances the scholarship quota for Hungarian students in Georgian universities.

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Ketevan Natriashvili, held a meeting with the Executive Director of Asian Development Bank – Scott Dawson and other Bank officials.

In order to raise awareness of the vocational education and innovative approaches, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, organized a week of modern technologies in vocational education.

The Georgian National Team teams have started the training for the International Olympiads. Georgia presents the respective teams in five Olympiad disciplines: Mathematics IMO, Physics IPHO, Information Technology IOI, Biology IBO and Chemistry ICHO.

The presentation of the intermediate results of the trilateral joint program of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, UNICEF and the Estonian Government was held. The purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the results of the joint program, evaluate, analyze and discuss the future Action Plan in regard to the program.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Mikheil Chkhenkeli, met with the participating Georgian, Armenian and Azeri youth representatives, participating in the regional Youth Forum held in Tbilisi. The Minister talked about the importance of youth projects and touched upon the new initiatives planned by the Ministry in this regard. Towards the end of the meeting, the Minister answered the questions from the audience.

In order to increase the quality of general education in Georgia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, has integrated various existing challenging subjects such as; human rights, gender equality, a healthy lifestyle, and reproductive health into the current national curriculum. The above mentioned is a remarkable success for the tangible implementation of the national Youth Policy.

Alexander Tevzadze - the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia and Carmen Schehan – the Acting director of the US Peace Corps in Georgia, have signed a new five-year memorandum of cooperation. Signing of the Memorandum will further deepen the relations with the United States, thus promoting the knowledge and learning of the English language in the regions of Georgia.
