Owing to the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, a work on a transferring policy document has been initiated, encapsulating the steady transition process from preschool and social services environment to a public school education. In the process of developing the document, an international expert from the University of Edinburgh – Dr. Juliet Hancock introduced her insights to the Ministry. “Let's listen to the future and get ready for it" - an international conference was held on the International Day of Hearing. The aim of the conference was to discuss the current issues of hearing impaired-children in Georgia and design corresponding recommendations on how to improve the quality of their learning experience.
