Georgian Technical University hosted an Open Day regarding the Spring admissions on the vocational educational programs developed at the technical training center.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli and the Rector of Business and Technology University (BTU) - Misha Batiashvili discussed the details of cooperation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), according to which a global startup lab will be created with the support of MIT for the first time in Tbilisi.
Owing to the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce, and due to the high rate of interest from the private sector, a meeting was held, regarding the implementation and the planning of the work-based learning processes and the ongoing vocational education reform.
The registration of applicants for vocational education has started as of April 22. All interested candidates have the opportunity to master the vocation of their preference in the following industries: tourism, construction, agriculture, transport, information technology and other fields, which is fully funded by the Georgian state.

With regard to the , within the project – “I Love Georgian - My State Language" framework, all the Georgian state Universities, where 1 + 4 program is being implemented, participated in the event by conducting a dictation test to its non-Georgian speaking students. The winners award ceremony was held at the National Library.
On the National Georgian Language day, a ceremony of awarding the school students as well as the foreign nationals for the promotion of the Georgian language was held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. The event was held under the program - “Take care of your native language”.
The establishment of a safe school environment is the main priority of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. That is why, a special conference was dedicated to this topic. The conference was opened by the Minister of Education and Science – Mikheil Chkhenkeli.
The University of Caucasus continues to function in a new, completely renovated educational building. The university remains one of the most modern and largest in Georgia, with its infrastructure and equipment. Furthermore, the building itself was built in 1909 and over the years numerous known educational institutions thoughout the Causasus had been functioning here.
Millennium Challenge Corporation has revealed the winners of the innovation competition. The first place was awarded the gymnasium AIA GESS’ project - "Robot Labourant". The author of the project will travel to the NASA Space Center and participate in the educational program.
