Entrepreneurial Education
Forum was held within the framework of the United States Agency for
International Development (USAID) program. The aim of the forum was to get
familiarized with the results of the conducted activities, as well as the
planned activities of the Junior Achievement organization in Georgia. Junior
Achievement has been working in Georgia since 2002 and aims to "prepare
young people for success in the global economy". Programs are based on the
development of enthusiasm, financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills for
younger people. Within the framework of the project more than 200 teachers have
been prepared in Georgia, and currently there are 6500 students in 249 schools
involved in teaching "Entrepreneurship Basics".
During the event, within the scope of “Entrepreneurship Basics”
program, top five Learning Companies were presented. Also, “Company of the
Year” was revealed, which will present Georgia on the 29th
competition of the “Learning Companies”, held in Bratislava In July 2018.
The event was attended by the representatives of USAID as well as other
officials from non-governmental organizations.
