The students enrolled on 2017 autumn admission session started learning in vocational colleges. Mikheil Chkhenkeli, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia personally congratulated the students of Vocational College “Aisi” and, together with them, wished success to approximately 8,000 new entrants.
The students were enrolled on vocational programs of the state educational institutions though the tests. The opportunity to receive vocational education with the state funding was awarded to those students in the state education institutions, who passed the minimum competency margin in the test and were admitted on the basis of the competition.
Based on the statistical data of autumn admission session, the most demanded professions for the applicants are as follows: cook, accountant, sewing specialist, hairdresser, hospitality specialist, confectioner, IT support specialist, computer network administrator, welder etc.
Vocational education programs in the field of agronomy, veterinary, breeding, food technologies, engineering, business administration, energy, electrical engineering, construction, transport, agro-engineering and art are provided in Vocational College “Aisi”. Together with the work-based teaching, i.e. dual approach, the Vocationa College “Aisi” implements viticulture-winemaking, fruit-growing and breeding educational programs, together with the partner companies. The college is located in the village of Kachreti, Gurjaani Municipality. The educational complex includes rehabilitated educational building, students’ dormitory, wine house and mini-canning facility in accordance with the universal design.
