The Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini opened the new swimming pool in Tbilisi Public School №94. This swimming pool is the only one in this settlement of Isani-Samgori. The Schoolchildren of 7 public schools will use this swimming pool with some privileges. Most important is that around 300 schoolchildren from vulnerable families will be given free swimming and volleyball lessons.

By the announcement of the principal of public school №94, Ms. Marina Chaganava, the schoolchildren expressed great interest towards the President’s initiative about replacing the physical culture classes with the sports lessons. The children of this school are most interested in basketball and volleyball. They will be given the lessons in these fields of sport together with the swimming and volleyball lessons from the next academic year.

Improving the school infrastructure for the development of sports lessons is planned in the framework of Alumni project. The gym will be renovated and equipped with the sports inventory. Construction of the open stadium will be finished in the new academic year.

1600 schoolchildren study at Tbilisi public school №94 and 108 teachers work there. Around 50 teachers have already passed the training courses for teachers' certification. The courses are financed by the government. Up to 40 teachers will pass teacher's certification exams.

The building was partially rehabilitated in the framework of the project “Iakob Gogebashvili”. The graduates of this school successfully pass the Unified Entry Exams, take participation in the school Olympiads and different competitions. The current year, 2 candidates of the golden medals and 6 candidates of the silver medal study at this school.
