The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia conducted a competition for Georgian-language performances called "My First Georgian Role" for the students of non-Georgian public education institutions / sectors with the aim of popularizing the state language. The final was held in Rustaveli Theater. In regards to the competition, the committee revealed three winning acts. The winner of the first place, was awarded the public school of village Duzagram, the winner of the second place was awarded to the Tbilisi public school #96, whilst the third winner was revealed to be the Akhaltsikhe Public School #3. Whereas a special prize was given to the Mughanlo public school, in Gardabani Municipality.
The winning teams presented fragments of their performances at the Rustaveli Theater. At the end of the meeting, Minister of Education and Science - Mikheil Chkhenkeli and Minister of Culture and Sports - Mikheil Giorgadze awarded the students wih special prizes and diplomas.
The competition aimed at promoting the learning of the Georgian language to the ethnic minorities, as well as developing their creative skills. The competition was held in cooperation with Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration.
