Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli and the First Deputy Minister - Ketevan Natriashvili, held an official meeting with the Regional Director of the German International Cooperation Organization (GIZ) -Roland Suterier, Director of the Vocational Education Program - Katy Kamer, and German Ambassador to Georgia -Daniel Hass. The sides discussed the issues in the development of vocational education in Georgia and got acquainted with the initiative of the Minister regarding the implementation of the Higher vocational College of Agriculture in Telavi State University.
The first vocational school of agriculture in Georgia, will be in full compliance with the German standards and its programs will specify needs of the region. Special emphasis will be made on wine and viticulture.
The German side positively evaluated the decision to establish a new type of training institution on the premises of Telavi University and promised to support the Minister.
