The Olympic committee was held at the National Olympic Committee in Argentina, for the Youth Olympic Games. Nino Salukvadze - Vice-President of the Committee presented the Olympiad licensees, after which Olympic vows were made to the athletes.
On October 6-18, Argentine capital Buenos Aires will host the third Youth Olympic Games. Within 12 days, 4,000 sportsmen from 178 countries will play for the chance of winning 241 sets of medals in 32 different types of sports. The Georgian delegation will present 15 sportsmen in 10 different types of sports.
Giorgi Gegelashvili (free wrestling, 48kg) Giorgi Tokhadze (wrestling, 51 kg) will play at the youth Olympic Games: Ketevan Arbolishvili (artistic gymnast), Ana Makatsaria (tennis), Nino Khutsidze (lead shoot - 10m, pneumatic pistol), Giorgi Chkhikvadze (B / W wrestling, 60kg), Ilia Sulamanidze (Judo, 100kg), Archil Malakmadze (weightlifting, 69 kg), Zurab Kintsurashvili (Taekwondo, 48kg) Giorgi Kekishvili (Athletics), Gaga Khizhakadze (modern five-point), 3X3 basketball team - Luka Maziashvili, Lasha Mikeladze, Otar Pertaia and Zurab Zhgenti.
Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport - Shalva Gogoladze, President of the National Olympic Committee - Leri Khabelov, Various Presidents of sports federations, athletes, coaches and invited guests attended the event held at the Olympic Committee.
It is noteworthy that the leading Georgian journalist at Judo tournament, the Judo international federation director and the staff of the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport will be attending the Youth Olympic Games held in Argentina.
