On October 17, an official event of the establishment of the “International Association of Graduates of Education” was held. The event was attended by the graduates of the International Center for Education in 2018 and the beneficiaries of the various educational scholarship programs of the Center.
The founders of the Association introduced the statute, goals and r othemain directions of the Association to the attending auditorium.
According to the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Mikheil Batiashvili, these young people represent our "golden fund" and they will be actively engage in the development of our country, and our economy.
Additionally, a ceremony of choosing the members of the Association "Advisory Board" and the official ceremony of signing the foundation document was also held. Members of the Advisory Council became representatives of various governmental and non-governmental organizations. Mikheil Batiashvili – the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia; Maia Tskitishvili - Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia; Mikheil Chkhenkeli - Prime Minister's Advisor in Education Issues; Levan Davitashvili - Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia; Nino Chelidze - Executive Director of International Center for Education; Nino Zambakhidze - Chairman of the Farmers Association; Saba Buadze - Head of Anti-Corruption Department of Institute for Development of Freedom of Information; Soso Galumashvili - Partner of Consulting Company "GEPRA"; Jean Frederick Paulsen - Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Tbilisi State University, International School of Economics (ISET).
The mission of the Association is strategic promotion of the state development through participation of graduates, sharing of experience, development of institutions, implementation of priority projects, and establishing and strengthening the links. The goals of the Association are: Creation and Strengthening of Network of Graduates and the alumni; Promotion of professional development amongst the association Members; Developing research and consultation; Create public good by using the knowledge and experience gained abroad.
