Refurbishing Public School Canteens in compliance with modern standards still continues. New project will be piloted in Tbilisi Public Schools №55 and №43. Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini and Minister of Finance, Kakha Baindurashvili opened modern canteen in Public School №43. In the framework of ongoing educational reforms, company “Gogli Mogli” refurbished canteens in pilot schools and equipped them with modern techniques. On May 14, President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili personally opened new canteen in Public School №55.

School children will be able to buy food in the new canteen of Public School №43 with credit cards, that were provided by Taoprivatbank free of charge. School children of this school tested their credit cards in the presence of the guests and bought food for the first time in this canteen. By the announcement of school principal, Besarion Sikharulidze, parents positively evaluated this new initiative and the representatives of other public schools got interested in it.  Afterwards, new project will be introduced in all public schools in the framework of Safe and healthy school conception.
