For the first time in Georgia, 3D video-installation of the
unique collections preserved in the foundations of the National Center of
Manuscripts of Korneli Kekelidze was created in Georgia.
The National Center of Manuscripts is an important intellectual
and cultural heritage site. The collection boasts having unique manuscripts of
ecclesiastical and secular content - richly painted gospel in the hands of
precious stones, as well as astrological, "Kartlis Tskhovreba",
Manuscripts of "The Knight in the Panther's Skin", Vakhushti
Batonishvili's special maps and many other invaluable items.
According to Mikheil Batiashvili – the Minister of Education,
Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the importance of 3D installation is
immeasurable, and its purpose is to popularize the material located at the
National Center of Manuscripts. The material preserved in the Center of Manuscripts
is interesting and important for Georgians and foreigners alike, as well as for
the the scientists and people interested in history and culture.
Within the scope of the event, several books were presented,
including the book "Georgian Manuscript" created by the Bagatbegi
"The Knight in the Panther's Skin" and authors' collection by the
publishing house "BAKM".
