Georgia. The event was led by Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture
and Sport - Levan Kharatishvili, EU Ambassador to Georgia Karl Harcelli and
Director of Georgian National Museum - David Lortkipanidze.
Exhibition "Wisdom
turned Golden" is dedicated to the European Year of Cultural Heritage in
Georgia. By the end of February, the visitors will have the opportunity to see
one of the masterpieces of golden works in Georgian National Museum.
Along with the ancient
archaeological artefacts, the gold jewelry of the late Lenticular Age (2nd-IV
centuries), warehouse tools and precious metal objects preserved in the
ethnographic collection are presented primarily for exposition. The exhibits
accurately illustrate the general knowledge of the metal, which has been
transmitted from generation to generation in Georgia and has established its
place in Georgian culture and the European civilization.
The exhibition offers its
viewer to witness the details of the Trialeti Gold Cup through modern
technology of visualization. You can see the cup originally at the exhibition -
"Archaeological Treasures".
The exhibition is accompanied by a variety of
educational programs for visitors of different ages.
