Mikheil Batiashvili, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, held a presentation with journalists, other media members, representatives of higher education institutions and the general public with the vision of integration of the higher education system into the EU Platform and discussed the priorities that will be implemented consistently within the reform to achieve the results.
"Our students should benefit from all the benefits that the European educational space has to offer. In several years Georgia should be a part of the united European educational space. Higher education is one of the most important priorities and the changes that should be implemented within the framework of the reform are of paramount importance. One of the important things that we want to reveal is that Georgia's higher education is surely a big proud member of the European education sphere, "said Mikheil Batiashvili, adding that during these months intensive work has already been carried out, assessed all the risks and concrete steps are already under way.
The Minister believes that the closer approach to the European educational space is not an easy way, although it is a real and achievable way, which does not have any alternatives. Especially since the EU High Commissioner's support is clear and transparent.
