The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia - Mikheil Batiashvili highlighted the importance of the school's safety, which is one of the priorities of the Ministry stated during his presentation with the Prime Minister of Georgia – Mamuka Bakhtadze.

"Talking about any reform is a waste of time if the parent does not feel that his child's safety is guaranteed. We have a positive trend in the last months in terms of security, but we have a lot more work to do. The results show that we are moving in the right direction, but we have more important tasks, which will give us even more results, "said the Minister whilst expressing his gratitude towards the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Association of Resource Officers of the US School (NASRO), which are actively involved in the training purposes.

According to the Minister, the Office of Resource Officers will unify three important rings to create a safe, and non-violent environment: Resource Officers, Psychological Services Centers and Crisis Intervention Group, created for timely and effective response to crisis situations.
