Within the framework of the school security
reform, Resource Officers are strengthening the regional centers of Georgia.
From today, Resource Officers will be represented across 7 regions of Adjara,
Kakheti, Guria, Samegrelo, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kvemo Kartli and
Mtskheta-Mtianeti, a valuable addition to 27 public schools of Georgia.
Newly appointed bailiffs passed a 2-month
training course at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They
acquired effective communication and conflict management skills and studied the
psychological aspects of the development of children and adolescent.
Chief Resource Officer - Gela Geladze and
his deputies presented the new resource officers in public schools of Georgia.
At present, Resource Officers' Office is already represented
in 485 public schools, where 70 percent of Georgian students are. Within the
framework of the ongoing reform, by the end of 2020, another 233 public schools
will be provided with the service of the Resource Officers.
