Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini attended the conference “It is Child’s Right to be Heard” that was organized by Public Defender and Child and Woman’s Rights Centre of Public Defender Office.

Conference was held by the support of the project of Council of Europe “Public Defender’s Assistance”. The goal of this conference is to increase children’s involvement in decision-making process that concern their life and education, support their participation by governmental bodies and consider their opinions in planning and implementing children’s programs.

Children from Tbilisi and other regions of Georgia took participation in the conference. They expressed their opinions about the condition of children’s rights. They were awarded with certificates.

Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs, representatives of the Parliament of Georgia and Supreme Court of Georgia as well as the Principals of Public Schools participated in the conference.
