On June 26, Zviad Gabisonia – General Director of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation hosted Giorgi Eliava Institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology and Virus Institute, Bakhutashvili Institute of Medical Biotechnology, LEPL Eliava Institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology and Virusology Institute of Molecular Genetics, Kutateladze Institute of Pharmacochemistry, Durmishidze Institute of Biochemistry, Natishvili Institute of Morphology, Kanchaveli Plant Protection Institute, Chemical Biology, Health and Insurance Institute and other esteemed scientists.

Mzia Kutateladze, Director of Eliava Institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology and Virusology welcomed the guests and gave the introductory speech; The Director General of the Fund Zviad Gabisonia presented a vision to the academic reform in terms of Education and Science, in conjunction with talking about the importance of commercialization of scientific research for the development of the country's economy, as well as touching upon the priorities and challenges of the Rustaveli Foundation. The attendees discussed the current and future competitions and projects, planned innovations and the modernization of existing projects with the participation international colleagues. The presentation was conducted in a question-answer mode with an active involvement of the audience, scientists expressed their opinions regarding the important issues discussed.
