On July 10 Korneli Kekelidze National
Center of Manuscripts opened a scientific forum - Kartvelology International
Summer School and a special Conference - "Georgian Manuscript",
implemented in cooperation with Louvain University with the support of Shota
Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
The aim of the forum is to popularize
Kartvelological Sciences, to emphasize the significance of Georgian census, to
develop collaborative relationships between Georgian and foreign scientists and
students.
The event was opened by Director of the
National Center of Manuscripts - Zaza Abashidze.
The International School of Kartvelology
provides for foreign and Georgian researchers interested in studying the
manuscript heritage.
The forum will last until July 20.
