The
US Peace Corps in Georgia invites motivated public schools to collaborate with
the Peace Corps Education Program.
Peace
Corps volunteers have been successfully implementing education projects in the
regions of Georgia for nineteen years. The schools selected in the competition
will work with the American English Teacher for the 2020-2022 academic years to
improve the general quality of the English language.
The
competition is open to public schools in the following regions: Kakheti (except
villages north of Akhmeta), Mtskheta-Mtianeti (except Stepantsminda and
villages north of it), Kvemo Kartli, Shida Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Adjara,
Guria, Imereti, Samegrelo, Racha-Lechkhumi and Svaneti. Applications will not
be considered from villages and towns within 5 km of the administrative boundary
line.
If
your school is in the above-mentioned region, and you are interested in working
with a volunteer program in the 2020-2022 academic year, please read the
newsletter, fill out a volunteer application form with host family, and report
to the Peace Corps office on 29a Vazha-Pshavela Avenue, Tbilisi, 0160, or email
education@ge.peacecorps.gov
A
volunteer request form and information supplement can be obtained from the
Peace Corps office or from the educational resource centers. Volunteer
application forms can also be downloaded from the Peace Corps website at: https://www.peacecorps.gov/georgia/ask-for-a-volunteer/
