Under the initiative of the Georgian Farmers Association, the Sector Skills Organization will be established. The project, presented today, will help strengthen the role of the private sector, eliminate the challenges of coordinating the public-private partnerships, and actively involve agricultural sector representatives in the development of agrarian vocational education in Georgia.
“At this stage of vocational education reform, strengthening the role of the private sector is of particular importance. Until now, there have been very good precedents for cooperation with the private sector, but this initiative has taken the partnership to a new level, since we are dealing with the creation of an umbrella organization comprised of various organizations and associations in the field of agriculture, which is a completely new reality in our area. The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport is open for this, welcomes this fact and is ready to continue working in the format of maximum cooperation with this organization” said Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.
