The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli, within the framework of his visit to Strasbourg, held a working meeting with the leadership of the University of Strasbourg and introduced them to the concept of Kutaisi International University and the Center for Hadron Therapy. During the meeting, the parties discussed the future cooperation plans in the scientific-research areas.

Mikheil Chkhenkeli: “Today I introduced the project of Kutaisi International University and the Hadron Therapy Center to the leadership of Strasbourg University, one of the world's leading universities. They were overly impressed by the fact that Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili and his family donated one billion euros to these projects. The leaders of the University of Strasbourg expressed interest in the active participation of professors and researchers of their university in the academic process of Kutaisi International University and in the scientific-research activities of the Hadron Therapy Center.
