Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia - Tamar Kitiashvili held a working meeting with the Director of the French Institute - Pierre Cluet and representatives of the Embassy of France to discuss new opportunities for partnership with France in the field of vocational education.
The Deputy Minister introduced the priorities of the ongoing reforms in the vocational education system and talked about the existing challenges within the industry. Special attention was paid to international cooperation and internationalization of professional qualifications, as well as the importance of public-private partnerships at all stages of vocational education.
The parties agreed to implement joint and exchange programs in collaboration with Bordeaux College and other French educational institutions. The possibility of introducing short cycle programs with French higher education institutions was also discussed.
Within the meeting framework, with the aim of deepening and strengthening the cooperation with the private sector, a meeting was planned with the Georgian French Chamber of Commerce, which will enable the French companies operating in Georgia to get interested and actively involved in vocational education.
