With regards to the opening of domestic tourism in the country, owing to the decision of the Interagency Coordinating Council, museums and museum-reserves will gradually open to the public from June 20; The process will be carried out in accordance with the established rules and regulations.

During the initial stage, only those museums will open that meet the recommendations developed by the World Health Organization and the Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.

The International Council of Museums (ICOM), in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia and the Ministry of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs, issued a set of recommendations.

A new protocol was created, according to which museums and museum-reserves will gradually open to visitors.

Georgian museums and museum-reserves will receive visitors based on the developed recommendations and safety norms.
