Tamar Kitiashvili, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia held another online meeting with the representatives of the private sector to identify the problems caused by COVID-19 pandemic in vocational education.
This time, the Deputy Minister met with the President of the HR Professional Association, Sergo Nozadze, and other representatives of the Association.
The online meeting - “Vocational Education for Human Capital Development", aimed at establishing a dialogue between the public and private sectors, as well as discussing the challenges and achievements in vocational education. Meeting participants discussed the importance of discourse with the private sector in the process of reforming vocational education and discussed several mechanisms in detail, that will simplify the issue of their involvement in short-term programs and give businesses more opportunity to be engaged in the training/retraining procedures.
Representatives of various industries, including IT, construction, tourism, logistics, retail and other companies, took part in the public-private dialogue.
