Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, visited Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State University during her visit to western Georgia and met with the teachers who tutour the general education compotent within the vocational education program.
During the workshop, the stages of teacher selection and training were discussed. Teachers spoke about the importance of the initiative and emphasized their willingness and motivation to be involved in the learning process.
As it is known, the registration for those programs was announced for the first time this year, which will offer full general education to the students with basic education, in addition to receiving vocational education degree.
Upon successful completion of the 3-year program, the graduates will receive a diploma equal to the school diploma.
The process of authorization of programs is being completed, and by the end of July, up to 40 programs from 15 educational institutions will be placed in the registration database.
In the first year of implementation, secondary vocational programs will be offered in Tbilisi, Guria, Kakheti, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Kvemo Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Adjara educational institutions.
