First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Akaki Seperteladze and Director of National Examination Center, Maia Miminoshvili held a first briefing on 2010 Unified Entry Exams at the media center of Unified Entry Exams. They introduced the planned innovations of Unified Entry Exams to the journalists, answered questions about procedural issues, students’ financing and etc.

By tradition, media center was opened together with the beginning of Unified Entry Exams.

The first exam of Unified Entry Exams will be held in Georgian Language and Literature, on July 1.

Exam tests will be transported from the storages of Liberty Bank and National Bank at 06:30 a.m.  Tests will be brought to the examination centers in the presence of Police and Security officers.

The registration of the entrants will begin at 08:00 a.m. in 15 examination centers of 12 examination cities of Georgia. The first exam will begin at 09:00 a.m.

36,421 entrants have applied for 2009 Unified Entry Exams.

Exams will be held in following cities: Sighnaghi, Telavi, Rustavi, Tbilisi, Gori, Akhaltsikhe, Kutaisi, Ozurgeti, Poti, Zugdidi, Batumi and Khulo.

1300 observers, curators and around 30 groups of police and security agencies are involved in the examination process. Medical aid stations will be opened in all examination centers. Ambulance will also be able.
