State Educatiol Grant will be allocated for the citizens of Georgia according to the Unified Entry Exams.
State Education Grant will not be allocated:
The rule of state financing for academic higher educational programs:
State education grant will be allocated according to the results of the general ability tests as well as all other exams (3 compulsory and 1 elective).
Grant (absolute) score determinative rule for academic higher educational programs:
7% of the state grant for academic higher educational programs will be distributed equally among each elective subject (literature, mathematics, history, geography, chemistry, physics and biology – 1% for each subject). The left 93% will be distributed proportionately in accordance with the competition – it depends on the amount of entrants and the selected subjects.
If the allocated grant for any field will not be fully spent, the left amount will be proportionately distributed among the elective subjects.
All elective subjects have its own value (general ability tests – 1,5 and all other exam subjects – 1%). The scaled scores of each subject will be multiplied on the relevant weights and the results will be summed. For example: if the entrant received 169,1 in Georgian Language and Literature and 165,7 – in general ability tests, 164,8 - in foreign language and 164,0 – in mathematics, his/her grant(absolute) score will be calculated in following: 169,1x1+165,7x1,5+164,8x1+164,0x1=746,45
The annual amount of the state grant will be distributed in following principle:
The state grant will not be allocated in accordance with the rate list. It will be allocated according to the grant rate list created for each elective subject (literature, mathematics, history, geography, chemistry, physics and biology). Amount of money, allocated for concrete subjects will be distributed in accordance with this list. For example: entrants who passed exam in mathematics will compete for the state grant similarly as the entrants who passed exams in chemistry, literature and etc.
If the entrant passes exams in several elective subjects, he/she will obtain the state grant according to the scaled scores of the exams in compulsory subjects and the concrete elective subjects that enabled him/her to be enrolled at the faculty of higher educational institution.
If the entrant passes two or more elective exams that were required by the faculty, he/she will participate in the financing competition according to the scaled score of the elective subject that will enable him/her to increase financing regardless the result of the subject exam he/she was enrolled.
