Practical-laboratory
works are being carried out in full compliance with the recommendations of the
Ministry of Health and sanitary-hygienic norms at Akhaltsikhe Vocational
College "Opizari". Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education,
Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia got acquainted with the educational
environment on the college premises, as well as the implemented and ongoing
projects together with Besik Amiranashvili, State Representative of
Samtskhe-Javakheti.
At this stage, there is an important infrastructure project being
conducted on the premises. The project is being implemented by the LEPL
Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency and comprises of
four international standard workshops intended for: engineering, construction,
and transportation students. Workshops are equipped to modern standards and will
enable to double the number of students and accept up to 1,000 vocational
students in the coming futur.
Opizari vocational college, enables students to master vocations
tailoted to the needs of the region, such as: construction, electricity,
engineering, information technology, accounting, customs and border-management,
veterinary medicine, beekeeping, forestry, cooking, sewing, etc. In addition to
long-term programs, the college also implements short-term training courses.
The college has a strong technical base in accordance with
modern standards with training auditoriums and laboratories.
Moreover, the
Industrial Innovation Lab was established on its premises, where students of
all vocations can realize their creative ideas. The college has an
international American Ciscos academy and library equipped with a necessary
resources and an e-book fund.
