To increase access to vocational education, the construction of
a vocational college has started in Borjomi Municipality. The project is
implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science,
Culture and Sport and the active involvement of the local self-government.
The building, which meets international standards, will be
adapted for people with disabilities. There will be theoretical teaching
classrooms, laboratories equipped with the latest technology, conference hall,
library, doctor's office, and a cafeteria. The building will be equipped with
central heating-cooling and ventilation systems as well. There will also be an
open-air sports field and a recreational space available for students.
The project is implemented by the Educational and Scientific
Infrastructure Development Agency of the Ministry and its cost exceeds GEL 9
mln.
Borjomi
Vocational College will mainly implement vocational education programs in the
fields of tourism, forestry, construction, and agriculture, thus contributing
to the economic growth of the region.
