The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli, together with the Rector, Nino Taliashvili, inaugurated the Hall of the Constitution of Georgia at the European University.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli: “I am extremely pleased that everything is organized at a very high level in terms of academics and infrastructure at the European University. Today we opened a hall for mock trials, visited the Archaeological Museum, as well as the Faculty of Medicine.
The university has created excellent conditions for students to study and excel professionally. It is also praise-worthy, that there is a high level of scientific research activity present. When students return to its classrooms, all conditions will be met to continue the study process in a safe and sound environment.
Nino Taliashvili: "European University is currently implementing the project – “The Constitution of Georgia is 100 years old ". 2021 has been declared the Year of the Constitution of Georgia and various events have been planned within the scope of its 100th anniversary, including the opening of the Hall of the Constitution of Georgia at the European University. We have also created an electronic platform, where we have posted videos related to the Constitution of Georgia, which ultimately serves to popularize our powerful constitution among the public. "
Moreover, Mikheil Chkhenkeli visited the Archaeological Museum, where artifacts found at different times from the Late Bronze Age to the early Middle Ages are collected. Additionally, the minister inspected the faculty of Medicine, where laboratories and simulation centers in line with modern standards are located.
Most Importantly, the presentation of the Constitution Hall is part of a larger project being implemented by the European University. The project mainly aims to introduce all those heroes, who’s creative will, political freedom and democratic values helped shape our Constitution.
European University has declared 2021 the Year of the Constitution, which once again emphasizes the importance, depth, and respect of the Constitution for any citizen of Georgia.
It should be noted that in addition to the archival photos, the presentation wall offers the important fragments of our Constitution, which from 1921 to the present, have had a special impact on the process of state perfection.
