Ekaterine Dgebuadze, First Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, will get acquainted with the process of school preparation before the students return to the classrooms. The deputy Minister visited Tbilisi Public School No. 150, where the school is in active preparation to receive students on February 15.
As the First Deputy Minister noted, the 150th Public School is in full readiness to restore the educational process to its natural format. The school strictly follows the recommendations of the Ministry and meets all sanitary-hygienic standards. The general education institution is equipped with towels, disinfectants, antibacterial solutions and thermal screening devices, special dispensers are installed in the building, a heat room is arranged, and the classrooms boast a one-meter distance between the desks.
Additionally, Ekaterine Dgebuadze emphasized the involvement of parents in the continuation of the educational process in the classrooms and noted that communication with them is especially important in terms of student safety. In this regard, at the initiative of the Ministry, schools maintain an active communication with the parents. The administration provides them with all the news about the measures taken by the school in response to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the organization of the educational process, as well as the sanitary-hygienic norms at school.
It is important that the administration and teachers of the 150th Public School, as part of the intensive testing program, are already registered on a special portal of the Labor Inspectorate. Accordingly, 20% of all school staff will undergo mandatory testing once every two weeks.
Systematic testing of staff in general education institutions will continue across the country in parallel with the return of the learning process to classrooms.
The Ministry throughout the country, provided public schools with hygienic facilities, in conjunction with improving school infrastructure. Additionally, the process of implementation of the rules established by the Ministry of Health is monitored by the Labor Inspection Service.
