The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli hosted the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Georgia, Akbar Qasem Aliabad and congratulated him on his appointment.

During the meeting, Mikheil Chkhenkeli thanked for the fruitful cooperation in the field of higher education and science, which has been successfully carried out over the years with various universities and research institutions. The Ambassador, in turn, expressed readiness to deepen this cooperation.

The parties discussed current issues in the field of education and agreed on the format of cooperation.
