With the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the Youth Agency has opened a new youth space at Kutaisi Vocational College - "Iberia", where young people from Kutaisi will be able to organize and initiate various events. The creation of this space was identified based on a study of the needs of young people, the aim of which is to unite municipal youth activities under one roof.
The online event was opened by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Tamar Kitiashvili, which was also attended by the Head of the Youth Agency Revaz Charkviani, Kutaisi Mayor Ioseb Khakhaleishvili and representatives of the local self-government.
Tamar Kitiashvili thanked the Youth Agency and the local self-government for the initiative and expressed hope that young people will make the most of the space and realize their full potential. According to her, the introduction of youth policy and the opening of similar types of interaction spaces are of particular importance in the regions. According to Tamar Kitiashvili, the Ministry is ready to support vocational education institutions, combine the functions of youth centers and, as a result, create a kind of youth attraction centers in the regions.
Opening a youth space at Iberia College is the first joint initiative of the Ministry and the Agency, which will be extended to other regions in the future. It should be noted that in order to receive municipal youth services, Iberia will host local youth in a completely new educational building.
