On February 25, 1921, with regards to the day of Russian occupation of Georgia, various events were held in public schools throughout the country.
The students organized an exhibition of paintings on the topic of occupation, recalled the stories of the devotion of Maro Makashvili, Giorgi Kvinitadze, Giorgi Mazniashvili and other heroes of Georgia. The students drafted essays, listened to lectures on the Soviet occupation, recalled the historical period from the 1921 occupation to the present day, talked about the cadets who died on the outskirts of Kojori, in conjunction with creating an analogue of the diary of 19-year-old Mero Makashvili.
The students found photos and audio materials related to the occupation, an exhibition was organized on the school premises, while the newspapers created by the students, as well as various illustrations, letters, documentary films related to February 25, 1921 were continuously displayed on the monitors.
The aim of the activities carried out during the week is for students to grasp the historical reality related to the occupation of Georgia.
