The historical vocational school founded by Niko Nikoladze in the village of Didi Jikhaishi in Samtredia Municipality is being completely renovated. Construction and renovation efforts are carried out in accordance with international educational standards and will be completed in the coming months.
The college, equipped with the modern equipment will mainly offer vocational programs in the field of agriculture. The project was funded from the state budget and its cost is estimated at GEL 5 600 000.
Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science, who is on a working visit to Imereti region, together with the representatives of the Georgian Technical University and local self-government got acquainted with the ongoing works in the college.
The Deputy Minister highlighted several important issues to be considered during the renovation and emphasized that Jikhaishi College should become an educational centre where modern vocational education will be available to all from the Imereti region and the country.
Georgian Technical University is actively participating in the renovation, and development of Jikhaishi College, together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
