The new training centre will be developed in cooperation with the Ministry, the business sector and the local municipality. Construction and renovation efforts are fully funded by the Employers' Association, while the Ministry allocates resources to create a modern learning environment. The aim of the project is to offer modern vocational education in partnership with the private sector to the people of the region, to promote their employment and further development.
The school will start operating in the 2022 and, depending on the needs of the region, will offer students vocational programs in the fields of construction, engineering and agriculture. Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia inspected the renovative works, together with the President of the Employers' Association, Elguja Meladze and the Mayor of Khoni, Lado Jurkhadze.
The Deputy Minister focused on the direction in which the state can invest together with the private sector in order to make the most relevant and demanded vocations available to the population of Khoni and the surrounding municipalities.
Coordinated by the Employers' Association, the Deputy Minister also met with representatives of the local private and non-governmental sectors and spoke about the needs and importance of high involvement of the multilateral parties in the development of the education centre.
