Within the framework of the USAID Growth in Georgia project, Akhaltsikhe, Gori, Kachreti and Zugdidi vocational education institutions were provided with relevant equipment for the implementation of the tour guide program. The event was held at ExpoGeorgia and was attended by First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Ekaterine Dgebuadze, USAID Georgia Mission Director, Peter Wibler, representatives of vocational education institutions and the Growth in Georgia project.
In her speech, Ekaterine Dgebuadze highlighted the importance of the projects implemented by the United States Agency for International Development in promoting education in Georgia. According to her, USAID Georgia has implemented a number of important programs in recent years, which served to the development of human capital.
Within the framework of the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the representative of the project "Growth in Georgia" and Marneuli and Kaspi colleges. Collaboration, like the four colleges mentioned above, involves developing a program of regional tours, providing them with relevant inventory, and assisting in the proper implementation of activities.
In addition, within the framework of the project "Growth in Georgia", it is planned to arrange a demonstration greenhouse in Marneuli Vocational College, which will give the students of the agricultural program the opportunity to develop practical skills.
The USAID-funded Growth in Georgia project is a five-year project aimed at promoting economic development in various regions of Georgia by implementing a variety of initiatives in the fields of tourism, agriculture and services.
