"Adventure Tourism School" is a college jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Science, the Mountain Resorts Development Agency and the Association of Mountain Guides. The meeting of the founders of the college was held to discuss the current activities and further development plan of the college, which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Tamar Kitiashvili.
The meeting took place at the "Sver Adventure Camp" in Chiatura Municipality, where students of the "Mountain Guide" program, within the training module "Crossing difficult rocky terrain" practice and master the techniques and methods of safe climbing on the nearby terrains.
According to Tamar Kitiashvili, mountain tourism is one of the promising fields and it has great support from both the state and the private sector. The best representatives of the field from all over the country are involved in the development of mountain tourism. According to the deputy minister, the plans made by the founders to promote adventure tourism will soon be successfully implemented. The development of new qualifications in the field of equestrian training has already started, which will be introduced on the premises of a college in Dusheti municipality. It is also planned to intensify the activities of the college in Gudauri, Mestia, Bakhmaro and other municipalities.
"Adventure Tourism School" was founded in 2016 and is the best example of public / private partnership. It is this collaboration that leads the college to offer modern standard education programs tailored to the needs of the field. From the new academic year, the College plans to offer even more diverse programs in the field of adventure tourism to young people and adults from different regions.
