In order to facilitate research and teaching in the field of security, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Training Center of the State Security Service, signed by Deputy Minister Nunu Mitskevichi and Head of the Center Giorgi Vashakidze.
The Memorandum envisages cooperation between the Center and the Ministry in the field of security, research and teaching, as well as the promotion of cooperation between higher education institutions and the Center.
"Under the memorandum, higher education institutions will be able to participate more widely in the research and learning process carried out with the training centre. Also, joint events will be planned, which will facilitate a deeper study of security issues at the national, regional and international levels.” stated the Deputy Minister of Education.
Under the Memorandum, the Center will actively cooperate with higher education institutions in conferences, forums and other scientific and educational events on national, regional and international security issues. In addition, it will implement joint educational and cognitive activities aimed at promoting research, teaching, and raising public awareness on national, regional, and international security issues. In addition, it will provide recommendations for strengthening security training and training of qualified personnel.
For its part, under the Memorandum, the Ministry will facilitate the planning and implementation of joint activities between the Center and higher education institutions.
