The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia expresses its condolences on the passing of Ramaz Chilaia, Associate Professor of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Doctor of Philology, and extends its condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and students of the deceased.

Ramaz Chilaia has been teaching at Tbilisi State University since 1977. He has published numerous academic papers in the field of literature and criticism.

Ramaz Chilaia was an exceptionally valuable and beloved lecturer for students of all generations.
