From now on, the population of highland Adjara will be able to receive vocational education on the spot. The authorization has been successfully passed and from the new academic year the first students will be admitted to the new, modern standards study space of Blacksea College in Shuakhevi.
According to the demand of the labour market, vocational programs in the field of construction will be launched in the first stage in Shuakhevi. However, the college will also develop and diversify long-term and short-term vocational training programs. Vocational teachers selected as a result of the college competition were trained in field skills as well as teaching and assessment.
Within the framework of a working visit to the Adjara region, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Tamar Kitiashvili visited Shuakhevi, inspected the new base of the College "Blacksea" and personally got acquainted with the process of preparation for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Arranging modern vocational education infrastructure in Shuakhevi is a joint project of the Government of Adjara, the Ministry of Local Self-Government and the Ministry of Education and Science, which will significantly help stop migration in Upper Adjara, strengthen the competencies of the population and employ them.
