The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a meeting with Marina Raidt-Altunashvili, the co-founder of the Music Therapy Center - Bekari.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the method of music therapy for children with special educational needs, which is innovative for our country.
This approach has been introduced at various levels of education and is widely used in the United States, Germany and England. This is a proven and unique method for integrating children with special educational needs into society and developing different skills. The approach envisages group and individual lessons tailored to the specific needs of the child, led by music therapy specialists.
The Minister of Education and Science noted that caring for the education of children with special educational needs and their integration into society is a strategic priority of the Ministry.
Ekaterine Dgebuadze, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science and Mariam Katsitadze, Manager of Bekari Center also attended the meeting.
