The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli congratulated the freshmen of the International School of Economics (ISET) of Tbilisi State University on the beginning of the new academic year and wished them fruitful studentship, success, and professional development.
"Congratulations to the students at Tbilisi State University International School of Economics (ISET) and the beginning of the new academic year! Today is a special and unforgettable day - a completely new, exciting, and challenging stage in your life begins.
You have already overcome a significant challenge and achieved your goal. Despite the pandemic, with hard work and diligence you were able to properly prepare for the exams and pass one of the competing programs - the ISET Bachelor of Economics.
As you know, we started the school year in remote format this year, but it is temporary. We hope that the epidemiological situation in the country will allow us to move to the present format and see you face to face. As you already know, we will have a differentiated approach, namely, on October 4, in cities where the infection rate is less than 4%, higher education institutions will be able to switch to the attended format.
You are mastering one of the most useful professions for our country and the world in general. Everyone needs highly qualified staff, in-depth economic analysis, and research. You have a very good opportunity to become a competitive economist globally and master the knowledge of the International School of Economics, which is known for its world-class economic programs. ISET Economics Program is a very successful undergraduate program in the field of economics, business and finance in our country. The school has several successful graduates who contribute to the economic development of both public and private structures.
Congratulations on starting your studies again! I wish you fruitful studentship, professional development and success in your future career!”
